Hello! I am Eluvish, a hobbyist digital illustrator specializing in an anime-inspired art style. I like to draw beautiful men, fantasy & steampunk designs, and of course my original characters (OCs).

About Me

My Art Journey

I have always been naturally inclined to art since my childhood. Around age 12, I received my first pen tablet as a gift and fiddled around with digital art. Due to a wrist injury incurred at age 16, I took a break from drawing until I was 18 or 19 and fully recovered.I do not have a formal education in art (my university degree is in international business & economics), so I try to maintain a healthy mix of drawing for fun and learning the basics as best I can. To me, learning art is not a matter of “self-taught” versus “formally-taught”, just what you know and the cool things you can make. ;)

My OCs & Writing

My OCs are part of my writing & story projects. I’ve worked on various ideas over the years, but my main project at the moment is a dark fantasy in a steampunk world. I am much more of a “plotter” than a “pantser” writer, so it’ll be a while before anything is ready for reading.My main OCs who frequent my art are listed below with links to their individual Toyhou.se profiles which contain some information about them.

Colored Sketches

Quick art pieces that retain the outlines of a sketch.
Cel shading or very loose painterly shading.

Busts

Art cropped at the shoulder/chest region with a fairly simple background or lighting scenario.

Halfbodies

Art cropped approximately at the hips or thigh region with a fairly simple background or lighting scenario.

Reference Sheets

A collection of 2-3 fullbody art pieces that break down a character’s outfit(s) alongside any additional sketches necessary and some basic information about the character. Generally less refined/rendered than other pieces.

Full Illustrations

Art pieces that contain posing, lighting, or background/environment details that create more complex compositions or more focus on storytelling than pieces sorted into other categories. Generally involves more detailed shading & rendering.
